Surgery at the Korda Clinic

Surgery

At the private surgical clinic of Korda Clinic, Dr. Richárd Rokszin, a specialist surgeon, sees patients who have been diagnosed with lesions requiring surgical intervention during a check-up or internal examination, or who come with various complaints. These include, for example, painless skin or soft tissue lesions, biliary calculi without symptoms, abdominal hernias, dilated varicose veins, hemorrhoids.

In these conditions, the patient may present with symptoms typical of the condition, such as biliary seizures or abdominal or groin pain on exertion.
Surgery also covers benign tumours of the soft tissues, skin, breast, abdominal organs and endocrine and endocrine glands.

The general surgical practice:
A general assessment and examination to identify any pathologies that may be detected by physical examination and to order any further specialist tests required based on complaints.
Performing outpatient surgery, such as removing lesions on the skin and subcutaneous soft tissue.
Pre-operative assessment, post-operative monitoring, suturing, dressing and follow-up of patients undergoing surgery.

About the services

Outpatient surgery

During outpatient surgery, the surface is first disinfected and then the affected area of skin is anaesthetised by injection. After re-disinfection, sterile isolation is performed and sterile instruments are used to perform the agreed surgery. The wound is then sutured if necessary, and in the case of inflammation, deferred suturing or open treatment is used. Finally, the wound is dressed with a covering dressing.

When and for what problems should you seek specialist outpatient surgical care?
You should seek outpatient surgical care if you have general surgical problems that are physically noticeable, such as hernias, palpable tumours, skin and subcutaneous lesions, inflammation. In such cases, the specialist will perform the necessary tests, start a targeted examination and clarify differential diagnostic questions. If necessary, treatment is supplemented by drug therapy.

In addition, the surgeon evaluates the findings of surgically related lesions in the abdomen and other organs and develops an appropriate treatment plan.

Certain lesions are often indicated for treatment in other specialties. For example, the removal or excision of a wart, mole, fat nodule or inflammatory lesion is recommended during a dermatology consultation. Furthermore, outpatient treatment of ingrown toenails by surgery is often necessary.

Dr. Richárd Rokszin, an experienced surgeon, provides personalized, high quality care at the Korda Clinic in a private surgery practice, without referral and without waiting.

Hernia surgery

Symptoms and consequences of hernia
Although inguinal hernia often causes no symptoms at first, over time its characteristic symptoms include a burning, stabbing, sharp pain, mainly caused by traction on the peritoneum and intestinal lining.
Cavities can grow over time, which can also cause aesthetic problems. The skin over the hernia can thin and die, and spontaneous fistulas can form.
The greatest danger of abdominal hernias is hernia exclusion, when previously mobile hernia contents become trapped in the hernia sac and the tissues become oedematous.
Initially, this oedema may resolve if the contents are successfully reinserted, but over time the viability of the reinserted tissue is compromised, which can lead to intestinal necrosis.
As the process progresses, the venous circulation in the intestines can be damaged, and then the arterial circulation can be damaged as the intestinal wall becomes waterlogged, leading to definitive intestinal necrosis. Bacteria, toxins and free radicals are then released, which can cause local and then system-wide infection, bloodstream infection and eventually death.

Hernias are surgically treatable diseases where different methods are available to close the hernia gate and strengthen the abdominal wall connective tissue structure.
These solutions are always chosen by the specialist on the basis of individual needs and circumstances.
Accordingly, the approach to the surgery (open or laparoscopic) and the size and type of mesh used will be determined on an individual basis.
Dr. Richárd Rokszin, an experienced surgeon at Korda Clinic, is ready to undertake both minimally invasive and traditional surgical techniques, while providing high quality care.

Dressing, care

Chronic wounds can be an early symptom of any discolouration of the skin, itchy, inflamed, hardened areas, pain, swelling of the legs, and it is worth contacting a specialist.
If you have a wound that won't heal, is covered with yellowish, sticky plaque or black skin, is inflamed or painful, or has discharge, see a specialist as soon as possible.
In our surgical clinic, they will decide on the treatment and prescribe the necessary dressings and medical aids. This includes modern dressings, which are selected and prescribed by the doctor according to the stage of healing and the condition of the wound.
Dressings are applied in the context of a doctor's appointment.

Healing chronic wounds is a long process, often taking months. However, the professional experience of Dr. Richard Rokszin, our surgical specialist, and the ever-expanding range of treatment options and tools available, can lead to complete healing in most cases.
