In all of our lives, there may come a time when the tried and tested methods of problem solving don't work.
We may feel that we are not moving from one to the other, that problems are making our daily lives more difficult from time to time in similar situations, and that repeated long discussions with family or friends are no longer a reassuring solution.
But it can also be the case that everything is fine in our lives, we can adapt to the pace of everyday life, we have found the right job for our skills, we can take on the right roles, we create, we love, we enjoy life, but we still want a little more.
We may also feel in crisis when we think that the situation is far beyond our ability to cope with on our own - whether it's a divorce, the loss of a close family member or job, or even having children and moving house.
Asking for professional help does not mean that we are weak, but rather that we stop kidding ourselves and are ready to develop a strategy that can make it easier, or at least change the ways that are not working well.
