  • Description

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
complement system refers to proteins circulating in the blood that are part of the immune system and are involved in killing bacteria and viruses and mediating inflammatory responses. C3 and C4 tests can also be used to monitor the activity of autoimmune diseases.

Causes of elevated C3 levels may include: bacterial infection, SLE, glomerulonephritis, vasculitis, liver disease, immune complex diseases, autoimmune polyarthritis (PCP), rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

The test parameters are cancer antigen 125 II (CA-125) the ovaries, the cancer antigen 19-9 (CA-19-9) may indicate the development of tumours of the pancreas, bile ducts, colon, lungs, gall bladder.

Tumour markers alone are not suitable for screening alone!
A negative result does not rule out the presence of a tumour!
These tumour markers are not specific!

CA-125 levels can also be high in menstruation, pregnancy and pelvic inflammatory disease.

CA 19-9 levels may also be elevated in biliary cancer, pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis and liver disease.

  • Description

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex hormonal and metabolic disorder.
PCOS is the most common cause of infertility.

Symptoms may include: irregular menstrual periods (menstrual cycles lasting months, long cycles (35 days); missed menstrual periods (cycles longer than 180 days); missed or aborted ovulation; increased LH/FSH ratio (LH/FSH greater than 2.5 with increased prolactin levels); ultrasound findings indicating ovarian enlargement, pearl-like cysts on the ovary; acne, acne-prone skin; increased facial hair (hirsutism); high levels of male sex hormones (testosterone, DHEA-S, androstenedione) and decreased SHBG levels; elevated blood insulin levels, insulin resistance or latent diabetes; obesity, dyslipidemia (high Kol, LDL, TG and low HDL); infertility; hair loss; hypothyroidism; low vitamin D levels.

The PCOS profile measures the values that influence a woman's menstrual cycle and fertility status.
Measure sex hormones (estradiol, FSH, LH, prolactin, androstenedione, DHEA-S, SHBG, total testosterone).
The determination of anti-müllerian hormone (AMH) provides information about the ovarian reserve's capacity to ovulate. The basic hormonal functions of the thyroid gland (TSH, FT3, FT4, anti-TPO), the function of the main enzymes of the body (GOT, GPT, GGT, ALP), the levels of breakdown products (urea, uric acid, creatinine) are tested. It provides information on cardiovascular risk factors (triglyceride, cholesterol, HDL-C, blood glucose, insulin), tests the haematopoietic system (blood count, iron, transferrin), provides information on the status of the ionic balance (Na, K), indicates inflammatory processes in the body (blood count, CRP) and tests vitamin D levels.
The test includes a three-point blood glucose and insulin test with a glucose load (0, 60 and 120 minutes).

The test takes more than 2 hours due to the workload, so it can only be performed by appointment.

  • The tests in the package

  • Description

Our TORCH profile 1 test is a screening test for microorganisms during pregnancy.
Microbial infections can cause serious consequences such as miscarriage, malformations and premature birth.
The name is composed of the initials of the microbes tested: Toxoplasma gondii, "Others", Rubeola virus, Cytomegalovirus, Herpes simplex viruses.

Different TORCH profiles differ in other microbes.

Toxoplasma gondii an single-celled parasite, which is mainly spread by cat faeces or contact with plant food. Soil contaminated with cat faeces can be a source of infection for up to 1 year. Inadequately cooked meat food can also cause such an infection, as the parasite can be present in the muscles of infected animals. Infection is normally asymptomatic but can be more severe in immunocompromised individuals.
During pregnancy, a fresh infection in the mother can cause pathogens to cross the placenta and damage the foetus, resulting in miscarriage, premature birth or foetal malformations.
The screening test is performed to detect IgM and IgG antibodies produced against the pathogen, as well as IgG avidity testing.

Parvovirus B19 virus caused by the butterfly bats (erythema infectiosum, fifth disease, megalarythaemia).
It is spread by droplet infection, causing mainly mild fever and diarrhoea. Patients with about 25% may have bilateral facial redness, rashes on the chest, limbs and arthritis.
Infection during pregnancy can even cause miscarriage or intrauterine death.

Varicella virus Causes chicken pox. Once infected, however, we gain immunity for life.
In pregnant women who are first infected in the first trimester of pregnancy, the virus can cause malformations in the foetus and foetal death in the last trimester.
From shingles is also caused by the varicella virus (Herpes varicella zoster), so the patient can also spread chickenpox. Symptoms: fever, redness, small blisters.

Rubella (smallpox) a mild, contagious, viral disease. It occurs mainly in childhood. Thanks to vaccination, it is now rare. Symptoms: fever, sore throat, joint pains, pinhead rashes on the body. Pinkish blue spots can also be seen on the mucous membranes of the mouth.
If the virus enters the foetus in the first trimester of pregnancy, it can cause malformations, heart problems, vision and hearing loss.

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) can cause encephalitis in the brain, retinitis in the eye, pneumonia in the lungs, gastroenteritis in the stomach and intestines, and can also be dangerous to the unborn child.
Unlike other viruses, no immunity to the virus develops after infection.
    Eating the results:
CMV IgG negative IgM negative Avidity -negative no infection
CMV IgG positive IgM positive Avidity -low acute infection
CMV IgG positive IgM positive Avidity -high reactivation infection
CMV IgG positive IgM negative Avidity -negative history of infection

Herpes simplex viruses (HSV-1 and HSV-2) cause characteristic skin symptoms: tiny blisters that later dry up. Symptoms may also include mild fever, muscle aches, lymph node swelling.
HSV-1 mainly causes symptoms on the lips, HSV-2 mainly on the genital organs.
Especially in the first trimester of pregnancy, it can cause miscarriage or organ abnormalities in the foetus.
If you have already been infected, the antibodies produced in your body will also protect the foetus.

  • Description

Our TORCH profile 2 test is a microorganism screening test during pregnancy.

Pink patches can also be seen on the mucous membranes of the mouth.

  • Description

Our women's tumour marker kit can help you find out about the types of tumours that most commonly affect women. The package includes laboratory measurements of tumour markers for liver, ovarian, breast, stomach, colon, pancreas and lung lesions.
Tumour markers may indicate disease recurrence or metastasis several months earlier than imaging or clinical symptoms.

They are not suitable for screening alone!
A negative result does not rule out the presence of a tumour!
    Many tumour markers are non-specific!
During the formation of liver cells alpha-feto-protein (AFP) is produced. Levels are elevated in liver, ovarian and testicular cancer.
The test parameters are cancer antigen 125 II (CA-125) the ovaries, the cancer antigen 19-9 (CA-19-9) the pancreas, bile ducts, large intestine, lungs, gall bladder, the cancer antigen 15-3 (CA-15-3) and may indicate the development of tumours of the breast, colon, lung.
The main indications for CA 72-4 are the treatment of patients with gastric and ovarian cancer and the monitoring of disease progression.
β-2-microglobulin (B2M) produced by the body's immune system (B lymphocytes) or by tumour cells. The measurement can also be used to diagnose certain kidney diseases (glomerular dysfunction). Levels are elevated in tumours affecting the haematopoietic system (multiple myeloma, lymphoma, B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, Hodgkin's disease, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma).
carcino-embryonic antigen (CEA) is produced by embryonic and tumour cells. Levels are elevated in gastrointestinal tumours. Its value is also high in breast, lung, liver, pancreatic and ovarian cancers.
For non-small cell lung cancer (mainly squamous cell and large cell carcinoma subtypes), CYFRA 21-1 is considered the most suitable biomarker.
Human Chorio-Gonadotropin (HCG) is formed in the cells of the placenta and plays a role in maintaining the corpus luteum during pregnancy.
Levels are elevated from the first week after conception to 8-10 weeks, so it is an excellent indicator of pregnancy. Otherwise, an elevated level can indicate ovarian, placental, pancreatic, breast or, in men, testicular tumours.
Cancer antigen 242 (CA-242) a tumour marker for colorectal cancer and pancreatic tumours.
Chromogranin A (CgA) can be used to diagnose neuroendocrine tumours and monitor therapy in treated patients. Neuroendocrine tumours can arise in almost any organ of the human body, most commonly arising in the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas, and the bronchial system. The concentration of chromogranin A correlates with disease activity and tumour size.
A human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) is a tumour marker for ovarian cancer, which has high levels in ovarian cancer. The determination of HE4 concentration is also useful in monitoring malignant ovarian cancer that has been diagnosed and treated.
lactoferrin an iron-binding protein that is also present in neutrophil granulocytes involved in the inflammatory immune response. Thus, its levels are measured in relation to the inflammatory processes in gastrointestinal diseases. Levels may also be elevated in colorectal tumours.
calprotectin calcium-, zinc- and manganese-binding protein produced by neutrophil granulocytes and monocytes. Levels may also be elevated in colorectal tumours.
The neuron-specific enolase (NSE) measurement is mainly used to monitor the effectiveness of therapy and to assess changes in the condition of patients with tumours, especially small-cell lung cancer and neuroblastoma.
The measurement of S-100 protein can be used to support the treatment of patients with malignant melanoma and to support the treatment of patients who have suffered a brain injury (traumatic brain injury or stroke).

These tumour markers are not specific!
CA-125 levels can also be high in menstruation, pregnancy and pelvic inflammatory disease.
CA 19-9 levels may also be elevated in biliary cancer, pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis and liver disease.
CA 15-3 levels may also be elevated in liver and breast inflammation.
Elevated serum levels of CA 72-4 may also occur in certain non-malignant diseases (e.g. pneumonia, pancreatitis, liver cirrhosis and ovarian cysts).
CEA levels may be elevated in inflammation, cirrhosis, ulcers and in heavy smokers.
Elevated CYFRA 21-1 levels have also been described in non-malignant diseases (e.g. pneumonia, sepsis) and abnormal kidney function.
High AFP values can also be obtained in cases of hepatitis, cirrhosis and hepatitis.
β-2-microglobulin (B2M) levels may also be elevated in renal inflammation, autoimmune diseases (systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Sjörgen syndrome (SjS), Crohn's disease, and infections (cytomegalovirus (CMV), nonA-nonB hepatitis, mononucleosis infectiosa, HIV).
Elevated NSE levels may also occur in malignant neuroendocrine diseases and in many other tumour diseases and clinical pathologies.
Chromogranin A may also be elevated in pheochromocytoma, pancreatic and prostate tumours.

  • Description

The test is unique in its ability to detect all types of micro-organisms in a gynaecological sample, including bacteria, fungi, protozoa and viruses, using modern molecular biology technology.

A personalised artifact of about 20 pages takes 7 working days to complete!

The vaginal microbiome (or vaginal flora) is defined as the complex ecosystem of microorganisms - bacteria and fungi - living in the vagina. The Avidin Vaginal Microbiome Test uses state-of-the-art molecular biology technology of next-generation sequencing and is not based on culture. The test is unique in its ability to detect all types of microorganisms in a gynaecological sample, i.e. bacteria, including sexually transmitted bacteria, the mushrooms, the unicellular protozoon trichomonas vaginalis, and known to cause vaginal infection (also) viruses, such as the human papillomavirus (with HPV serotyping), the herpessimplex virus (HSV-1, HSV-2), the Epstein-Bar virus (EBV), a molluscum contagiosum virus (MCV), a human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) and adenoviruses.

The vast majority of microbes found in the vagina are not harmful, and in fact contribute specifically to the maintenance of a healthy urogenital (urinary-genital) environment. For example: lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus speciesprotect against the development of many urogenital diseases, including bacterial vaginosis, sexually transmitted infections, yeast infections, urinary tract infections and even some gynaecological cancers.

By revealing the composition of the vaginal flora in detail, the Avidin Vaginal Microbiome Test provides the opportunity to classify the microbiome according to its composition, which is one of the so-called "microbiome status types" proposed in the literature. Community State Types). The bacterial composition of each type is unique, allowing us to draw important conclusions about the the health and integrity of the urogenital system regarding. The microbiome categories define the overall health impact of the vaginal flora (protective, neutral or harmful) on the one hand, and the the likelihood of vaginal infections and the various the risk of developing urogenital disorders.

It is recommended to have a vaginal microbiome test:

    • Unsuccessful childbearing, infertility, when there is no hormonal cause
    • For recurrent discomfort, vaginal pain
    • For vaginal dryness when there is no hormonal imbalance
    • In case of recurrent fungal infection, inflammation.
    • If virus detection is required

Sampling is done in a self-sampling format.

For sampling, we provide a special sampling device, the sample taken can only be accepted in this device. You can collect the sampling device from our laboratory at the time booked, together with a detailed sampling information leaflet.

Please store the collected sample in the refrigerator and deliver it to our laboratory within 24 hours after sampling.
